Hi, I'm relatively anxious to be on here due to being accused of being a 'fake' or a poser just because of my age, but hear me out first.
Since I was born my eyes were sensitive to the light, and my skin is sensitive too. I read that whole 'sunlight problem' thing on the website and yes my skin feels like it burns and gets really itchy in the sunlight, along with my eyes being so sensitive that I have to wear prescribed shade 4 sunglasses when outside and even artificial light leaves 'stains' in my eyesight.
(oh, and I read the list on the first page, and yes I agree with over 85% of the statements (I'm not sure about the skin-colour changing since my mum normally has her steak well-done and only in the past few years have I been asking for medium-rare, of which my mum normally told me no. I did have a medium-rare steak few weeks ago though and it was the most satisfying meal that I've had in while.)
I was told that I have Celtic skin (since my nan is Irish -- I'm not some american pretending that I have Irish relatives. my family is English but we derive from France if you go back about 4 generations.) and so I cannot get tanned, like my nan. My mother can get a tan but not unless she spends weeks in the sunshine, but she always burns up really badly first. Of course, my skin is extremely pale and I can trace my veins all over my body (and that's on the parts of my body that does see the sunlight, my shoulders and feet can easily be compared to snow, with a blue undertone due to my veins (in quite a few of my pictures, my skin comes up as a pale blue on a digital colourwheel rather than a pale pink. I do however have freckles too, which appear in the summer and dissapear in the winter (unrelated, but might be a useful piece of information?)
I have a few issues though, which is why I came here in the first place.
Now, these problems can't really be explained by doctors and I haven't found the cure to them online so far, so all the info you know on these will be very useful!
Firstly is my teeth. Ever since I got my adult teeth to come through (I got my full set around 11 I think) they have been really sharp and my incisors have a 'combed' effect, with my canines sharp enough to cut through my lips if my jaw gets knocked (it happened before, wasn't very nice) and even my molars and premolars are sharp with points at each corner of the tooth. I can draw these or take photos if you need them (just ask), but the photos might come out a little blurred. My question is: how do I get them not to be so sharp? Is it possible to? Two years ago I got bored and filed down an incisor so that it wouldn't be 'combed' anymore, however I've found that the tooth became sharp again and, if my eyes aren't fooling me, it's grown back to exactly the same height it used to be. Even if it's not a vampire-related problem, does anyone know the technical name for this? I mean, it's kind of cool but it means I can't really show my teeth when smiling (because people find that they look weird).
Secondly is a much more worrying issue that I'm going to the hospital on frequent checks for, but it's been about a year now and they haven't found anything about what is causing it, let alone what it might actually be. I found out that last summer I had begun coughing up blood about the size of my palm about three to four times a week. Nowadays it's calmed down to a smaller size of blood mixed with phlegm, however just recently I had also coughed up black slithers of something relatively solid (imagine like an eyebrow hair, but bendier and feels a bit more solidified) in my phlegm as well.
Thanks, and if you want any more information about me or these issues please ask me and I'll be happy to tell you.
