Hello;
Earlier this month I stumbled upon Steve's website. As I kept reading and educating myself, I noticed that a lot of things that were in the back of my head started to make sense. Although I do share the majority of the traits described in the list, I still haven't done the steak test to confirm if I truly am a vampire or not. One thing I'm almost quite certain of is that my mother's side of the family might be full of vampires. I've always been close to my grandmother, who has all of the traits on the lists. She dislikes going outside because her skin and eyes are so sensitive to the Sun. She has olive green eyes that almost look orange at the center with the dark ring around the pupil. She stays up all night and sleeps all day. Her room is always dark and cold. She prefers to always have the curtains closed and can read with the lights off or with very little lighting. My mother's side of the family also has a tendency to look young for their age and live into their hundred's without being bound to a bed or having caretakers. My grandmother and her sisters look almost exactly as they did before I was born. It's quite eerie when I think about it. Something that's even eerier, or just a coincidence, is a disease that runs in the family: severe iron deficiency. My mother has been on treatment for years and has never been able to bring her iron levels up. She's always tired, and seems to only lighten up when we eat red meat, just like my grandmother, and, even myself. As I've progressed into my teens, my eyes have become much more sensitive to the light, and my naturally tan sin has begun to look a lot more pale. I'm Hispanic, so this is odd to me. My mother also mentioned the other day that my canines looked a bit sharper than they used to. This might just be because I grind my teeth, but why did it pop up when I started researching about vampires? I decided to join the forum because I'm curious, a bit skeptical, and a bit fearful. Vampirism was something I knew only from the countless movies I'd watch with my grandmother as a kid. I always had a feeling it might be real, but the fact that it IS real is astonishing to me, I guess I'm still in shock. I would like some answers. Does vampirism run in families? What are the chances of me being a vampire with just my mother's side of the family potentially being filled with vampires? What should I do if I am a vampire or if I find out that my grandmother is a vampire? Should I look into becoming a vampire if I'm not one, considering my family history?
Thanks
