Would it be possible for someone to be a vampire if no one in their family is or was one. Like could the vampire retroviruses just pop up out of no where. I’m just curious

You can't be born one from out of no where.

What about it skipping a generation?

Hello everyone, I am truly sorry if it isn't the right category...
I have been interested in this topic lately, I don't have much of an experience in it since I kind of began this year. I have had interest in succubi for 8 years before (not really related but I thought it could be interesting.) Aside from this, I have done energy work and have quite an experience in dreams (Steve mentioned in a category something that really raised my attention on this.) I had a lot of dreams since this summer concerning vampires. Even these days I keep getting occurences/ references.
I saw Steve's "conditions" (I am French, sorry for my English); I know I fulfil a lot of them (not the essential ones though) and acknowledged that I am not one, however I tend to pick their side. So, here are my questions for now, is having a lot of vampire 'coincidences' definitely a sign, even if it keeps happening in dreams? And can I do anything to help/protect if there is any near me? like even forming a group would be fine. I am also planning on joining the army soon, either the FFL or a foreign army branch, I speak French, English, good in Spanish and Russian. Thank you a lot for reading this, my best Regards and Respects, 0verdriv3n.

I’m adopted so lol technically speaking yeees!? My biological fathers side of the family is German. They made it a pretty important point to my adoptive parents (my family) that I knew this for when I was older (which is kind of an odd point to stress) so, I definitely think that’s the side of my family I get it from not to mention a coincidence that that’s where it also originates from.

A lot of the things in the the list on the how to know if you are a vampire can happen among people that aren't a vampire. As for coincidences, you kind of have to figure that out for yourself. The stuff on the finding a vampire page would be hard if not impossible for a nonvampire to fake, and if they did fake it then they couldn't maintain it for very long, that list is essential. There is nothing wrong with forming a group for vampires and friends, I'm pretty that is how some of these bars, clubs, and events get started.

It's interesting; I will definitely consider going to one of the bars/clubs you mentioned, though I don't know if I shall remain in my country or if I can go cross the border (it would be closer) because I don't have any club really close to me. Even though I have some of many things that coincides, I'm not claiming to be one at all because, well, I don't know at all. I also am curious about a detail, because some vampires that weren't aware of what they are didn't need blood prior of they acknowledgement or even after?

You could try starting your own among friends, it seemed like that was what you were originally asking. I also am curious about a detail, because some vampires that weren't aware of what they are didn't need blood prior of they acknowledgement or even after? It's more a matter of them not knowing, and then finding out how much of a difference it made after they did get blood. Also people that are born one don't need it at all until after they hit that age range.

Intriguing, I began wondering about this stuff a little earlier because I wanted to be part of the British SAS, and in one of their survival manual concerning surviving in the desert I read that blood wasn't "a good idea"... I wondered first "Why would they mention such a thing in a survival manual?" and few months after, I finally got my answer I guess.

Yeah, blood can dehydrate you, it being mostly water is actually a myth.

Well, I think it would be more common sense to know that blood isn't water, even if we are in fact constituted mostly of water.
